The Problem With Memory Wasn’t The Cards (21/366)

021 - My Memory Problem

So, yesterday I posted that I had lost a memory card with the armor party pictures as well as other pictures. Those other pictures I was referring to included the past few days of my 366 Project.
Well, today, I looked at my 512 MB card — and holy crap, there were all the pictures I was missing! What the heck? I thought it was the 2 GB card that had those pics!
Nope — I forgot that I used the 512 MB card, and the 2 GB card that was missing ended up by my computer desk.
So, uh, yeah, the memory problem is me, not the card.
When I thought the memory card was lost, though, I was depressed. It’s not that if I lost those pictures forever that something drastically bad would happen. Quite the contrary — yeah, I would have lost a week of pics, but they weren’t things like a wedding or birth of a child or something.
Still, the thought of losing those pictures was depressing. I’m no great photographer, and I haven’t taken enough pictures yet this year to realy improve. But I’m making an effort to do something each day, and I hope that as the year progresses, I’ll improve my skills and become a better photographer. And if those pictures were gone, that’s about a week of the project that would be gone forever.
So, I guess this project is starting to become part of my life. Hopefully I can rise to the challenge over the next 345 days.
