Phil’s Filings

Welcome to my new blog; I have blogs at other places on Teh Interweb, but there’s something about using my own domain name to host whatever I want. Plus, this gives me a chance to start fresh, and see if I can get back into writing when it’s stuff I want to write about.

Do I see myself as another Wil Wheaton or Augie De Blieck, two bloggers who probably don’t know me from Adam yet whose blogs I read daily?

No.

But I’m going to try to live up to their writings. I think Wil’s posts can be down right insightful, and Augie’s got a great site of short newsbits that appeal to the geek in me. I don’t know if I’ll be insightful or be as blurby, but that’s what I want to do with this site.

This blog is for my interests. It’s for me writing about whatever interests me, and there’s no one that I need to worry about other than myself. No advertisers. No people who depend on me. Just moi.

It’s very liberating. So, join me, won’t you?
